REBA J. DARLING -

On August 15, 2017 Reba J. Darling went home. Reba was born October 6, 1928 in Reardan, WA to Arthur and Eva Bull. She grew up in Reardan with her brother Kenny and sisters Kay and Claudia and graduated from Reardan High School.
On July 21, 1946 Reba married Joe Darling. They moved to Davenport where Joe grew up and their daughter Debby was born in 1952.
Joe and Reba bought Lincoln building Supply in 1957, Reba was the bookkeeper and Girl Friday. After they sold the business she went to work for Lincoln Electric Co-op (Now Inland Power and Light) and retired after 26 years as irrigation billing clerk and employee benefits supervisor.
Reba participated in many civic and charitable organizations with Joe including American Legion, Lions Club and Masonic Lodge (Eastern Star). Joe was a Shriner and they we volunteers at the Shrine Hospital, they hosted many great Shriners picnics at their home on Pioneer Days.
Reba and Joe loved to travel, in their early years there were camping trips to Porcupine Bay often with best friends Gladys and Bax Baxter. After retirement they took many wonderful trips.
After Joe passed away in 2006 Reba moved to Naples, ID to be near her daughter, son in law and granddaughter.
Reba loved to go anywhere, anytime by any means, be it car, plane, boat, ATV or mule (on a trip to Molokai). She especially enjoyed trips to the cabin on Kootenay Lake. She took great pleasure in entertaining friends, gardening, baking, and doing Christmas crafts with Deb and occasional visits to the casino.
Reba was an awesome mom who gave up years of Saturdays transporting Deb to Dance classes and sat through 40 years of Dance recitals. She was a proud and loving grandmother and a doting Great Grandmother. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband Joe and her brother Kenny Bull. She is survived by her daughter Debby (Bruce) Whittaker, granddaughter Jenny (Forest) Graham, step granddaughter Stephanie (John) Tucker and great grandchildren Aspen and Willow Graham, Courtney, Matt and Chase Tucker, here sisters Kay Spilker and Claudia (Harold) Thompson. She leaves behind a nephew, four nieces and several cousins.
